The Hall of Records is the smallest of four buildings on the courthouse site. In October of 2003, we began an interior "period" rehabilitation of the Hall of Records. The project includes the restoration of the 44 foot diameter skylight, installation of a geothermal ground source field to heat and cool the building and the fabrication of "period" furniture. Also included is the upgrading of ADA features, like: an elevator and restrooms. For information regarding this project, you can contact the County Architect.

14  Bores down--18 to go!

March 1, 2004

What the lawn looked like before we started drilling. Drill Head (bit)

Today was a rain day...here George (yellow) and Kevin (black) work on getting the last hole of the day done.

View as seen from the First District Supervisors desk (left) and Second Supervisor's desk (right). The project is located within the First Supervisors District.

Loop pipe under pressure awaiting its turn to go down the hole...another view of both rigs.

First loop on line 2 (left) and Cory helps get the mud bin pumped out (right).

Two views of Glenn---(left) with the 1872 Gate Post and (right) with the first hole of line 3...Kevin is wearing the orange hat.

(left) the sidewalk activities and (right) getting the grouting tank in place. Here we see George and Tony with the grout tank and Kevin at the truck.

Here are two views of Tony at the grout tank (wide shot-left) and close-up (right). It's much like mixing a cake--with a  pinch of baking soda to make it all run smooth.

We are very happy to have George and Glenn leading the drill rigs! Couldn't ask for better teams! (right) With the rain, the site has become a big mud-hole.

Another shot of the drilling operation....

The extendable boom fork lift has come in handy for getting the mud cuttings into the drop bin....

This shot makes for an interesting composite photo....shows you just how muddy the site has become.

The funny thing about taking composite photos---is that people don't stand still for you to take the shot. Here we have 1.5 George's.

View from the tower---85 feet above the ground.
